Resources for Militia Members

The two most important requirements to be a member of the Wilton Militia, or any other similar organization, are a sense of enthusiasm and a willingness to participate. There are other requirements though, and first and foremost is the need to "look the part" and carry the equipment appropriate for a "militiaman". Since most stores do not carry 18th century clothing or militia equipment and weapons, members and prospective members of the Wilton Militia may find the following list helpful as they look for sources to make the necessary acquisitions, or simply put together a shopping list of items to consider for purchase. In addition to this list, some of the other militias have web sites with similar reference lists, so it would be wise to look at the other sites as well to gain the most complete set of resources available. There is a list of militia web sites under "Contact Information and Other Links".
