Wilton Militia Event Calendar


The Wilton Militia participates in many different public events, including drills, firing exercises, battle reenactments, and public events held by various Historical Societies. - Fall Festival, September 13, Fairfield, CT
- The Wilton Militia will be part of the Fall Festival in Fairfield, CT.
Time: 12:00 pm
Location: Fairfield Museum & History Center 370 Beach Road
Description: Commemorate the 230th anniversary of the burning of Fairfield on Sunday September 13 at noon when the Town Green will be transformed into a colonial marketplace and fair. Enjoy music, children's activities and a battle reenactment. Free community event.

18th Century Tavern Night, September 23- Come enjoy sampling 18th Century libations in the company of soldiers, militia,
and tavern maids. Join in singing favorite songs of the 18th Century soldiers
and sailors, and learn a little about the lives they endured. The Wilton Historical
Society in cooperation with the Fifth Connecticut Regiment reenactment group
and our lovely hosts at the Lumberyard Pub will hold an Eighteenth Century
Tavern Night on Wednesday, September 23rd, at 7pm. Not only will this be a
wonderful time, but the Lumberyard Pub has offered to make the Wilton Historical
Society their official featured charity for the month of September.
